Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Very few people are not looking to leave BNYM

From what I can see, only those who are within a few years of retiring are not bending over backwards to leave this place. They might not like it here any more than the rest of us do, but they're resigned to sticking it out.

Everybody else is either praying to be laid off or already one foot out of this place. I wonder what would happen to BNYM if we all decided to just up and leave on the same day... It sure would be fun to watch.

Believe it or not, some of us love this company and have been through several leadership changes to realize this too shall pass. It would be stupid to not have a back-up plan though.

Good luck yo everyone in this next wave and I hope you get what you wasn’t...be that a new job, supplemental pay, or whatever.

Logic?

We might all wind up unemployed because many other companies are laying off, too.

And BNY would probably hire the people laid off from those other companies.

Lose/lose, since we’d be unemployed and BNY would have a bunch of newbies trying to do the work, and we know how that works out...
