Unfortunately they are cleaning house. Out with the old and in with the new! Be glad you're out. The culture is terrible! They are demoralizing good workers with BE ratings just to get them to quit or drive them out bec of age. They do not appreciate real talent; only the bottom line and that hasn't gone well for them. Lots of talk. Lack of good action and judgement. Poor management and leadership. The only thing they know how to successfully do...is fail. Give Chuck and his management a BE and take the out!

All of this may have been mentioned and discussed multiple times on this board, but I like how @VTGDW1p-5juhl summarized all that is wrong at the company in this relatively short post

Falsifying Forced Rankings border on immoral and illegal.

Does BE means you may be asked to go? If you get 2 BE does that mean you will definitely be asked to go? What are the rules if there are any? Heard same...good people being pushed out with BE rating for 'optics'. Also heard some people took legal action and won. We have to fight this injustice!

Culture is indeed very bad, most of my colleagues are demotivated and don't care any more. This is actually not Chuck but has been going on for a long while: relocations, constant fear to be layed off,... Chuckie however added the B/E rule, I've seen many good people leave, who neevr deserved a B/E. This (unwritten) policy is a total shame.

I was "SEPARATED" in August...got to say it was the best thing that's ever happened to me!!!!
I've since received two job offers with much better pay just need to decide which job to take, but first i will take a vacation. The BE ratings are so politically motivated by favoritism. So glad i'm out of the toxic environment. Over the last 2 years 1 MD was forced out without any SUB or severance package, another VP was packaged out and a third was just outright ousted. Four people let go for no reason. Meanwhile, right at the same time one person was hired when i was let go and another was promoted. Go figure WACKO world of BONY.

Be happy they give you a chance. I get my first BE and was separated right away with only explanation " Somebody have to be separated so this is what department manager decided. I would never do it if it depends on me".

After 26 years, I've received my first BE in August, the 'reason' was I can pay better attention to detail. I have gone toe to toe with my manager and we are just being polite to each other. I'm hoping that she's so annoyed with me that she puts me out during the next round later this year!

This manager plans to leave BEFORE I am required to give another false BE. That won’t prevent the BE, but I am sleeping better already.
