I see so many people say that karma caught up with Charlie. I have to say, your definition of karma and my definition of karma differ significantly. I would call him getting a huge raise and going to an even bigger bank to continue doing the same thing he was doing here only on a larger scale an upgrade.
We'd all like to think some great injustice was righted with what has transpired. It was not. He is better off and we are in the exact same position we were in two days ago.
Eh....Karma is very real, just ask all the underlings who tied their line to Charlie. Charlie just cut the line and they are going to drifting around until they get fired. The list is long but they can start with the two buffoons highlighted in last years annual report.
CJ, er... CS, hit the Peter Principle in his very first job out of college. Family connections can get you a job that you’ll never actually be able to do and make you a wealthy man in the process. Karma is not only not always instant,I suspect that it is mostly received after this life.
How can he do that and still sleep at night? That’s easy to answer, quote Gordon Gekko from the movie Wall Street, “Greed is Good.”
No, karma caught up with WF. There are still hordes or horrendous people there. It’s not about money for scarf. It’s about ego. That whole self actualization concept. They both deserve and will ultimately destroy one another.

He didn’t take this a job because he wanted to. The writing was on the wall at BNY for him with earnings coming up and his ego couldn’t tolerate getting fired. The WF job was open and he knew he could get a hefty chunk of money out of them in their desperation to fill the seat. This is the most toxic job in banking. He can sugar coat it as much as he wants and try to make it about his desire to manage “a big bank” but make no mistake. He had to leave BNY to save face.
It is amazing how people like CS just keep moving around grabbing more income along the way while destroying firms in their path. How is it that s*** bags like him can do that and still sleep at night???
