This is more vindictive c-ap from a company that doesn’t value its employees. I will not carry a second cell phone. I originally had a company issued device. Since they made it useless for anything other than work, I switched to my mobility. Now they don’t want me to use that? Fine.

Next up .... no more VPN at all.

Think I’ll emphasize the home part of work balance.

The last two posts are about services that aren’t part of my mobility. My mobility is just the access to blackberry work on your personal phone.

Not mentioned anywhere is the Bank Of America Authenticator App, used to generate a single use token for log on to HVD and approvals for CyberArk.

I’m a VP at the bank and have been here 5 years and I never liked the idea of having access to my work emails on my personal device. That’s why i never accepted the myMobility option. I never want the bank to have any type of access to my phone. I prefer having two phones and keeping work and life separate.

My Mobility is being retired for those who have it loaded on their personal devices. Anyone who needs such access and gets approval from their management will get a bank issued cell phone (apple or android). The access to a company issued cell phone is supposed to be based on business need. There was a Flagscape article posted on Dec. 19 regarding changes to the My Mobility program. I was given the option to continue but declined. Who wants two devices? Carrying a bank issued cell phone for this access is nuts. I was told the bank issued device could not be used for personal email, texts or calls. Since I don't travel for work there really is no reason to continue. Soon I will get an email saying access to My Mobility has been discontinued. I delete the app from my phone and it's over. In my case the only thing I might miss is peeking at my schedule and emails when I have been off work for several days. It will be just like the old days when you only saw email when at work! I can always text or call my manager outside of work in the event of any emergency. The Flagscape article mentions data protection being a priority. I got the sense there was some kind of data breach or that something happened that wasn't so good. Whatever.

Work is the app.

Isn’t it going away with My Mobility?

Is this just another ploy to have people in the office for longer hours?

If your job requires that you need a cell phone or mobile email they’ll give you one. If not they won’t. There were too many people on the mobility plan that didn’t need remote email.

I just checked my mobility and see my boss has scheduled a meeting for jan. 2 "discuss mobile email". I assume I am getting kicked off of it. Someone mentioned the automated app. I have no idea what this is. More info please.

It is being retired because the automated app is better.
