Politics, utterly toxic work environment, bosses who treat their employees like dirt... I'm surprised everybody at BNY Mellon is not on some kind of anxiety medication.

Not one Happy Holidays or Happy New Year uttered by anyone in management. No early leave for the holidays either. I'm not even going to mention the raise and bonus. This is the most disgraceful, miserable place that I have ever worked in. It so laughable when they expect you to be a team player when they send out their emails like we're a valued member of this company. Well, maybe upper management is but not at my level. Trying not to let this place get to me. Buying time
Edibles...
Ethics, code RAP incident or personnel complaint, Suspicious Activity report... all have been known to carry severe retribution for over 15 years. Best to simply move on than fight re-education.
You can write over and over when you have time. But when you catch in surprised and separated in less than two week you feel yourself like in horror movie. This is what happened with me they just didn't give me a chance. I completed my few last projects without any issue, even more, during implementation my manager not only was not on a support of implementation but even was hard to be reach (this is was major over night and weekend implementation). I felt something wrong, I felt that they just tried to put me in a corner and waiting for my mistake to have something to explain my BE and separation, but they had nothing so they made it up. When I read my evaluation I was in shock, I couldn't sleep, I got depression (it good that I have great family which help me those time). Less than in 2 week I was separated, so when I complain about all to personnel representative all what she did just shrug her shoulders and offer me retirement ID (which by the way I never get).
That's like the majority of financial industry, go watch prison documentaries and the politics that goes down... It's the exact same thing, bny is a prison where you gotta play hunger games over sc-aps and promotions for useless departments that don't equate anywhere else outside the bank.
If nobody replies then chase them. I know of employees who got each time a reply.
It makes more sense to put pressure on them than writing over and over again the same stories.
If you don't address it you don't even create a chance for yourself.
It's like not calling the police when you get robbed because you think it's useless.
I ask nobody even respond to my request
Ethics at bny my a–. They have none. Corporate greed not makng enough dollars so they cut costs to boost revenue. Fcuk them. Do less. Request more. Reverse the equation.
It is quite useless to moan here about the toxic environment. You have to address it to ethics by email or call. You can do this even from an anonymous email address.
Nobody from ethics will read this page and takes action.
If you have concerns raise it. If plenty of employees raise concerns to ethics you have a chance getting heard. Address your concerns with evidence. Do not exaggerate. Do not insult anyone. Ask them to investigate on your observations and raised issues.
More layoffs coming January. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
I'm dealing with it well actually. Had a hunch I would get it. The signs were obvious. Now it is time for the next adventure. Thanks for the Christmas present BNY.
It’s not just BONY, BOK is laying of Hardworking Americans. They are either replaced by consulting companies or the cheap labor from India. If this continues, Indians living is US may face serious difficulties to deal with US based employees just like BONY offshore made onshore very sad while working as team by not sharing docs or not communicating well just to save their butt to come to US. What goes around comes around, time will tell.Be nice
Weeelllllll....since you mentioned it.
I just started clocking out at 4 everyday for the past half of the year instead of 6. No one noticed me working more, so no one will notice me working less.
Received a meets expectations last year and this year.
Who's to say we aren't?
