Everybody wants to see doom and gloom in everything. Most of you hate working for BNYM right? That’s the feeling I get from reading some of these posts anyway. So if you are unhappy with them and are about to be working for a new company then explain to me where the downside is? “Round about way of being laid off”. Is it? Ever been laid off? If not what happens is you don’t have a job anymore. That is not the case here at all. Everyone will still have a job and pretty much the same job so to compare it anyway to a lay-off is a slap in the face to anyone who has been laid off. Enough drama.

Yes it's for Dallas and Pittsburgh. All doc custody employees will be employees of a large document management company. My manager said to us this morning if this did not happen we would be getting laid off. To me this is a round about way of being laid off.

If they are outsourcing your job function there most likely will be layoffs. Supposedly there’s supposed to be more layoffs coming in January.

None. No one said the word lay-off. Not once.
