Nobody said all jobs are moving to India and there’s a zero percent chance that’s happening some items have to be processed in the us due to regulatory requirements however significant reduction and possibly an entire location could happen but some of it has to remain

With all of the people being laid off, with the CEO announcing last quarter that a giant chunk of money has been set aside for separation benefits, with all of the job openings in India... you think this is a "hoax"?
"I'm a good employee, they wouldn't lay ME off!" ... "It can't happen to MY department!"

Anyone been laid off since the announcement? None in the US so far. It’s a hoax!
They make these announcements to get people to quit on their own so they don’t have to pay the sub pay package- stick it out so at least you get something from them!
I was also in the meeting - I didn’t hear them say the whole department was moving... just certain functions. Anyway - as long as they give some sort of notice so people have a chance to post out rather than walking in one day and being pulled in to HR (which is a joke in my office)...that should help people out

I was in the meeting and the plan is for the entire RBS to be in India eventually. Said they would try and replace people to other open positions in the bank. It's possible they move certain sections to different departments but as far as RBS the plan is all to India.
Most jobs going to India and Poland. If you make this cut, you probably won’t make the next. Get out while you can.
Love how BNYM keep moving jobs offshore. Instead of government worrying about your bedroom, maybe this should be addressed. This company has existed since the founding of the United States and has played a pivotal role in building up infrastructure. Guess now they can help India build there’s. Screw the American worker
