Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Do the right thing

Layoffs will most likely happen in the next 60 days due to COVID-19. I'm not an insider, but that is my guess not just for BAC, but for most publicity traded companies. I hope the HR people at BAC, JP, and Wells who made the decision to pull everyone back in the office, takes a step back and really thinks through the impact of that decision. If we can work from home during an epidemic, why cant we work from home a couple days a week as a standard process. Food for thought for the big shots with doors who make things harder for the ones who do the work.

God bless all impacted, but it's time the people demand change in environment.

Good thing you’re not an insider. Insiders at least watch CNBC.

“ Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan said his bank's 200,000-plus employees won't have to worry about layoffs this year, joining banks including Morgan Stanley and Citigroup in making similar pledges.

"We don't want our teammates to worry about their jobs during a time like this," Moynihan told CNBC's Jim Cramer on Friday. "We told them all, there's no issue, you're all going to be working now through year-end. No layoffs, no nothing."

  • Don’t forget coffee meetings
  • flirting with coworkers
  • pouring liquor inside coffee mug (applies at home as well :)
  • gym visits during work hours

I don’t agree that we work better when we are together. There is a lot of gossip, office politics, bullying, etc that keep us from performing at our best.

Well the answer will be we work better when we are together. True ideas can be shared more readily but it is more difficult to focus and get complex work done.
