This is true. One of BNY's esteemed (sarcastic voice) upper management robots mentioned that there will be a lay-off, in their department, coming in March. That was told to all in attendance at a February staff meeting. It was not the purpose of the meeting, but said as a "oh by the way". That said, I can't imagine it being just that department. Lay-offs are usually done in bulk.
So no fake news here, just the facts of what's going to happen.
Our new senior manager, well I cannot say his name here or they will delete. He appears Russian or Ukraine. His presentation was weird like we were interviewing a Hitman or something. All I took from his meeting is that we have new managers and layoffs will be increased. He seemed very cold. Maybe the right person to make such cuts
Real tech guys will not stay longer than 3 years if the raise is 1.5-2.5%, there is something wrong if tech guys or DevOps sticking around too long.
Bring it on, let's just get it over with - what about packages, it's been 2 weeks/year of service for ages now.
