Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Organize

About the only measure that would stop BNY’s odious treatment of its employees would be a union, and they would have no one to blame but themselves.

Good Luck setting up a white collar union. What a joke!

I think at least half the people in ops don't care enough about losing this job and would support a union in light of how were treated. That would be enough to make it happen. Whether anyone could possibly organize that is another story.

It could happen. People need to risk it all though

But every employee should stand up for the wrong happening around them - I think white collar or blue collar it does not matter when you choose to fight the evil - unity will help to see management to act wisely and not treat employees with disrespect!

Wake TF up. Never gonna happen, not in the US, not in white collar industry, not in the 21st century.
