It's striking how people still so not grasp that Charlie does not work for employees. It's the other way around. So expecting loyalty from Charlie to employees is naive. He is going to do everything he can to boost that stock price bcz that = $$$$$ from those vested options for him. Fair? No. No fan of Charlie but this is America. And in America employees are second fiddle to shareholders. And it will always be this way until we change it. So he will walk through fire to get paid dam be the employees.
As much as you may want to think it’s ok and fair. And you’ve always done a good job so you will be ok - it’s not.
It was terrible for morale.
I suggest you get your resume up to date. Get out on your own terms unless you have an awesome separation package waiting for you. Mgmt here Treats staff like trash
Layoffs coming in nicely toobs.
Hey WF people ... time to start looking across the street at Starbucks ... oh wait, they're closed.
You're all in for a treat over at Wells!
Unsatisfactory - management really wants you gone
Below expectations - no raise, start looking for a new job
Meets expectations - little or no raise, management is indifferent about you being here
Exceeds expectations - you'll get a raise
Extraordinary - supposedly only for the top 5% of staff, but in reality seems even rarer
People who received a meets expectations have been laid off in the subsequent cycle, so no one is safe.
It worked quite well. Kept the lay-off machine rolling along nicely at BNYM 🤣
