I will be on the front line today. So you can get yet another mansion. Thanks for the extra $2.00/hr

There are a few individuals when it comes time for their funerals will probably have a handful of mourners. I rank a few presidents and JB as among those individuals. Remember Jerry Lewis? No one really got weepy when he passed. People remember who the jerks are.

Your on the frontline because you are an essential service worker. You chose to work at this company and chose to be a grocer. You have a good job. If you don’t like it quit. It’s pretty simple. Remember what your parents told you, “Life is what you make of it!” You choose your destiny. I think Amazon coming on board was a god blessing to wholefoods, after all this corona sh–, hopefully they will clean house and purge all the non essential Regional a–holes that are comfortably sheltered in place

$282,000,000,000

Thats how much America’s billionaires increased their wealth in less than a month. While over 22 million lost their jobs.

Put another way, billionaires made about $13 million per person made unemployed.

The current structure and the systems within it put billionaires first, NOT families, NOT workers.

Bezos, like Trump is an artifact of a larger structural and systemic problems in society. Capitalism assumes everyone is afforded the same opportunities, however believing that assumption to be true is just willful ignorance.

“Smart white business men” like Bezos and Trump are just unethical, greedy opportunists, engaged in pissing contests for the sake of their own delicate egos.

For those defending Bezos or whatever, lets remember this site (as posted in its homepage) is a place for gripes, gossip, and venting. To come on a site like that for the purpose of invalidating another workers sentiments is counterproductive.

For those complaining, keep up the good work! KEEP YELLING! KEEP WHISTLE BLOWING! KEEP INFORMING EVERYONE YOU CAN OF INEQUALITY AND INJUSTICES! Keep publicizing gross displays of wealth! THIS is how change happens. THIS is how revolutions begin. How things are is NOT RIGHT. Keep talking, keep making those who are comfortable with this, uncomfortable!

I hope the inequality and injustice doesn’t have to go on much longer before systemic changes are put into place. The pandemic shines a light in all of this. Time to organize in our communities and globally online, we need large scale changes... this is just the beginning

Like Marley said, Get up! Stand up! Stand up for your rights!

PBS’ documentary discusses how his new mansion in DC is designed and optimized for social gatherings and holding meetings. That’s just a tid bit discussed it’s a really interesting and free to stream

https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/amazon-empire/

It’s helpful to understand how individuals like this got where they are before we take them down. Without knowledge we will continue to be victims of circumstance!

And to the person asking “why do you work for Bez?” Bezos is the prince of unchecked digital capitalism, if it wasn’t him it would be someone else. In this situation automation and data are the real advantages allowing companies like Amazon to collapse entire markets and industries into 1 giant nebulous thing. Therefore as members of a capitalist society (All of us) those who need money have little choice but to work for people like Bezos, and it’s okay to feel very angry about that. Bezos employees will increasingly be replaced by automation, so there’s no since in having any delusions about it being any other way. Things will get so bad with unemployment governments will have no choice but to start to enact more socialist laws and services.

The effect the pandemic has on the global economy may very well ramp this process into high gear as small business will not be able to reopen. There’s a domino effect.
