What is this Scott Rasmus thing? I see some websites mentioning his lawsuit from 2 years ago but nothing further. Can anyone enlighten us?
Scott Rasmus started a class action lawsuit do to say we were classified and non-exempt. That’s why they changed the roles. Many people got up 30k.
Someone please find something that we can all be a part of and sue these no-fos
I documented everything that led up to me being laid off. I saw a labor attorney and he agreed my situation s—ed but bnyn didn’t do anything against the law. Policy and procedures aren’t enforceable under the law. So guess what. I took the package.
I almost sued for the same reason (management actually said in a meeting I was let go because "I couldn't keep up". The real truth is I led the effort to train my team in new procedures and software. I consulted a top employment attorney, and he said to just take the severance and walk away (I would have had to pay court costs and repay severance if I lost). Hard to fight these cases, since you sign your rights away if you take severance and they have teams of highly paid lawyers to fight you. Class action is the only way to go to get them, but I haven't heard of somebody taking this on.
I'm surprised there aren't more, total disgrace how they have let go great talent since 2014. More shocking I'd how what they are doing is not in the news media. BNYM had destroyed many carees, many employees let go were rated BE just so they could be let go....what a company, wish I seemed a lawyer and the news media.
Hopefully it becomes a class action lawsuit and everyone gets involved!!
Absolutely true......systematic purge of all legacy BNYM people in Markets upon arrival of DB folks starting in 2016. Hopefully justice is served.
