VP at BNY is a joke :) you can already sense what I mean. They give you VP title but no one reporting you, that explains it.
No new hires in tech until at least September—business can and is onboard of new staff now.
Would not surprise me as a former BNYMer.
Need to spend up to 1/3 of company's market cap on tech.

A friend of mine who worked there as a VP for almost 25 years was laid off.
A hiring freeze? Are you kidding? It's more like a potential employees freeze (I would not work in this dump for anything in the world). Anyone with half a brain and can do basic research would realize being unemployed is better than working at this dysfunctional mess of a company. I can't wait for this pit to just disappear.
