Anyone have word on this and what management are supposed to do?
Honestly, I think it’s better then BE even though they essentially mean the same thing but BE is more demoralizing.
I want to get laid off so not on target is fine. Don’t say I’m below expectations though lol.
I get BE so I don’t even write anything anymore or sign. I’m BE right so don’t expect me to waste time on this task. My goal is doing the bare minimum to not get fired. My goal is to get laid off in the 2nd or 3rd cycle of next so in order to do so, I pulled out an “idea” lol.

When I was there the rating system was “you are getting laid off this round, you are getting laid off next round, you are eventually getting laid off”
If anyone don’t like to see themselves rated BE, just be nice to your boss, you don’t have to be rock star. Just feed garbage and you will be fine or even get promoted. Did you see 70 pages site with all broken links or takes forever to load? Clients have no idea what do do with those urls. And now only those developer are left to do the job ... fun unlimited! Hey it’s bonus time !

I don't think anyone minds being rated off target and accepting a layoff next year.
My manager never even talked to our team about the goals she assigned. Laziness at it's best. Meanwhile, we're supposed to accept performance critiques from this person (eyeroll).
Not surprised since our managing director sent an email today mentioning she's cascading a new goal to everyone...so 8 business days notice for us to justify how we met a goal through the first half of 2020 that we never knew we had.
Horrible management all around.
