none of the big banks are transparent about pay. They just all say they do market surveys and are "in line". surprise surprise.

I hired about 6 months ago and was still able to give pay increase for band 4 to band 4
Because the bank would be in hot water if they did that. They know the pay is not equal between s-x, race and ethnicity.
Out of curiosity, why won't the bank make pay transparent? They claim men/women are making similar money for doing similar work, but if that was the case, why not be open about it? Keep assc. name private, but share total comp range by job title and location openly.
