Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

No respect

I was wondering if any other TMs feel as if they aren’t being given the respect they deserve? I know some feel it has to be earned and while I totally agree - it works both ways. I believe how you treat your employees determines how well your store succeeds. If STL is seen mistreating an employee, they will lose the respect of others - it’s as simple as that. And that has become a problem at my location. To say our work environment is uncomfortable would be an understatement.

Agreed. Not a thing lately. Respect that is. A cog in the machine.

The customers and leadership look down upon you. Leadership was telling us how essential we all are and that we are heros. They sure as hell dont treat it that way though. Culture compass said about difficultys this year but things are right back to how they had been pre pandemic. Safety is an after thought for TMs cleaning and keeping store counts low are being ignored now.

There are some STLs that are so arrogant and narcissistic they don't show respect to anyone, but they better get respect from everyone or you get an uncomfortable environment to work.

You are just a body to them if you come in and do the bare minimum its a win in leadership eyes. If your the best or the worst at the end of the day it really doesnt matter. Your contribution is so minimum that it doesnt even register, not being cruel but that's just the way it is. If you get a group of Mediocore employees to do the job of one good team member the money is so insignificant it doesnt matter.
