Are distributed ratings still here

I’ve heard there are mandatory BE numbers.

Yes, unbelievable as it should seem in a year where people are busting guts for their colleagues the Company are still applying forced rankings. Welcome to the hunger games.

Some time ago, HR gave managers guidance for “differentiation”. This was to “help” managers that did not think they had any truly BE people. They were to simply select a person whose performance or productivity was somehow different from the rest of the team. Not worse, just different.

I am not sure who this was supposed to “help”, but maybe it was to address those managers that protested: we have no BE people!

I know many don’t think any managers care like that, but many do. Maybe some day we will get to be a manager and find out what a thankless job that is at BNY.

Here is the Joke of the Dat, straight from BNY's public facing careers webpage: "We provide clearly defined, transparent development pathways to help you grow both personally and professionally. Because helping you reach your goals is our goal."

LOL

Yes, same morally bankrupt process as before. The HR drone said something about reviewing people honestly, then went on to say that there will be mandatory BE ratings. How they can spew this bs with a straight face is beyond me.

The problem here is that you know that management is just looking for ways to f@ck you over. There is no plan to enrich you as an employee, they just want to get rid of people.

AS said in a meeting, we need to get younger. Tells you all you need to know about BE.

I hear we’ll have to offer up people once again even if we don’t have any that actually are below expectations.
