BNYM to reevaluate some middle management positions again

For 2021, BNYM would like to reevaluate some middle management positions again, just like they have done in the past. This will involve some managers who will need to reapply for the job positions that they already have. In most cases, the results will be that no one will be determined to be suitable for the position, and after so many rounds of interviewing, the position will simply be eliminated.

Sounds good. Too many managers contributing very little. Not enough worker bees to do the work

Some BNY OPS employees are making things even funnier. These folks are scared of lay-off and started learning the programming language, which is a very good thing, BUT, if they compare programming language with "bash script" and think they can learn in few weeks, good luck. NOW, what does BNYM expect from these folks? a fun unlimited! AGAIN unkilled managers.
Those folks who got BE, just be polite, do not challenge anyone, instead, sugarcoat your manager and bad friends who sneak on you, you will be fine. Many BE boys who have no confidence or can not get a job outside BNYM are still surviving with the same techniques. Trust me, all BE will survive and even get meet expectations in the next performance review, that's the BNYM I know.

Migrating to Azure was a great move and necessary to remain competitive. Automation does not mean the end of your job or middle management (who are not all trash). It means eliminating boring, repetitive, error prone tasks; it frees up your time to do more interesting work. It requires new processes, new tools, new teams, and will create new opportunities. If you can't see how you fit in, you lack imagination. The financial services industry is about to be upended from the block chain technology. Try coming up with a new product or service around that. There's so much money to be made. There's no reason for all the doom and gloom. And the knowledge you acquired by being part of a successful digital transformation makes you more valuable, not less. I've seen many industries upended. No one is guaranteed a job doing the same thing in the same company forever. And life is boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know. If fear persists, you run the risk of missing out on some of the greatest experiences life has to offer.

BNY interview process doesn't have any standard, anyone can easily get a job here. It's due to middle management not having the required skills to select the right candidate. They collected a bunch of trash, these are good at playing dirty politics and knows how to push good ones into a corner. Anyone in any department who got a promotion in 2019 is a RED FLAG!
From LOB and below is a big mess already, not sure how they will manage to clean up! They made things too complicated already. But, YES! This reevaluation process should start from a low level as well because this is the level where the job gets done. The company is already started to migrate to Azure so, things will change soon. The Azure platform is mostly automated, these trash will have no role there. It's cheaper if BNY lets the Azure team handle the digital transformation and support.

They should do this for low level management positions too.
