The problem is Jolen is too busy telling us how racist we are she didn't have time to come up with a plan similar to the way the rest of the world notifies workers.
People just need to realize that BNY has no moral compass. The CEO states the executive committee made the right decision to have no more layoffs for 2020.
Let us all not forget that the government gave all these corporations millions. BNY got millions of free stimulus money back in march of 2020 to do what?? listen up folks, they got free F'n money to have NO LAY OFFs THROUGH 2020. So what a serious load of c-ap when Todd says that the company has moral obligations. Todd, there was no saving those people who were going to get let go last year. It just delayed it. But to try to spin in morally in your favor is wrong. But I guess coming out and saying that "the goverment's stimulus rules expire so we are back to business" and that business is cutting staff.

Seems like our typical HR portals. Why can’t our Human Resources ever get the Human into the equation? Benefits signup is convoluted and bad enough, but can’t we show a little respect to displacees and add a little humanity to the displacement process? There was a year to plan and test this.
Start with this premise...does mgmt need to make happy the people it dropped or those who remained? When you get the answer you'll realize your value relative to company dropped to zero. So why bother with you. No hate just truth.

But they needed the cash to pay those expensive ex-Goldman and BofA dropouts they hired enmass; High salaries with little talent or business knowledge just the gift of BS to their mgrs who are of the same ilk. Glad I am out and hope they get bought out at bargain basement prices
The BNY Mellon culture and DNA comes from the legacy Bank of New York organization. They have a long long history of treating clients and employees poorly. It’s who they are. It’s what they do. Now, there is the occasional manager who demonstrates integrity and leadership. But in the end the executive management of this company only knows one thing.......and that is cutting head count!
Very disgusting I couldn’t agree more! I have called HR the last two days about the portal access. It’s a known issue she said that it’s broken. Gives me two numbers to call and I get a voice mail long story short 24 to 48 hours for a call back. They knew they were going to do this layoff they should have been better prepared. But they don’t give a c-ap. Bonus: I get a shipping label but no box to ship back my laptop. I ask HR where is the box to send this back and she said just put it in any box that will do .....
I have spent a decade in this Organisation and every Manager or a "Leader" I have worked with don't live upto their words and are not open and honest .I have always felt that something is terribly wrong in the values of this Organisation.Their actions are totally different than what they speak or write on their blogs . We are living in the most dark side of Capitalism.
