In many ways I get your point in wanting to file a law suit... however... if you do so you cannot collect sub pay....and honestly it’s not like you want your job back, right? I know I don’t. Did my manager downright lie on my review?...yes he did. Is it strange that so many women and just 1 man was laid off under him? Yes. Do I love the history of the organization and despise the organization it has become? Absolutely. Is it a hell hole of a place to work at? Yep! A culture of dog eat dog? Yep. But what will a law suit really do? All I can do is be honest if someone asks me about it and leave my own reviews of the place. But iM not sure what a law suit would accomplish. I certainly do not want to work there ever again. Ever. If someone does have good insight into why a lawsuit would be good, I’m def up for hearing it.

You all are absolutely in fantasy land for thinking you are going to get anywhere by suing your employer because it laid you off. Its nothing but a waste of money.

Anyone know if staff been made redundant uk are getting redundancy pay? If so how many weeks per year? Also does last PMP rating effect this?

While it's short sighted for them to think this will save money, they have every right to do this and you're crazy if you think there are any lawsuits with merit coming.

When layoffs are rampant across financial services, and the company is very careful to avoid claims of discrimination by ensuring that each round is adequately dispersed across demographics, what lawsuits do you think there are to be had? Who is going to give up severance to pursue a claim that has virtually no chance of being proven by the data? Not trying to be snarky. Honest questions. What is lurking out there that can be substantiated in a lawsuit?

I don’t have the means to sue.
Would love to see a class action suit.
