Several weeks ago all of my team mates in GTO got an email from Sandy asking us to update our shipping address because SLT wanted to send us a “really nice” gift to thank us for our contributions during an extraordinary year. We all thought it was odd. They have our addresses. But we did it anyway because why not. We have nothing to hide.
So much to my surprise I got a package today...of a 10 oz plastic jar of amos’s quality mini chocolate chips. Really?? I looked it up on 1800baskets.com and found that the jar, before large quantity discounts AND free shipping went for about $22.00 So not only were we sent a plastic jar of cheap cookies, they over paid for them. And it gets worse....I’m diabetic!
We already know that we’re getting jack for raises and bonuses in 2021 and now we have to worry about layoffs coming. The work heaped on us has been horrible since covid19 started. People are leaving in droves because they just can’t take it anymore. And with the hiring freeze for external hires makes no one want to move into the org and we have to take on more work. SLT is so out of touch I can only laugh. I really wish they didn’t even send us anything over what they sent. I’ll be watching closely to see what BM gets for a bonus next year.
