Has anyone who got laid off heard about returning their laptop? If so, was it from boss or hr? What are the instructions on how I get this equipment out of the house with a good riddance?

They won’t tell you, but you can request they send you a box with the prepaid label and tracking. You will have to drive to UPS location, but you should not have to spend a penny to ship it to them. Push back if they tell you otherwise.
I received a pre-paid label and then had to spend $25 for UPS to box it! Total bs

I spend my hard earned unappreciated money to send that refurbished bank laptop back with the pre paid label that find include the price of the box or shipment! I SENT EMAIL TO HR/MANAGER WHO ACTS LIKE THEY SUPPORT YOU I WANT MY $16.98 BACK JUST AS FAST AS YOU GOT RID OF MY @$$
And some people would still complain about having to use their own tape to seal the box.
I disagree. They are a big firm- they should be able to figure out how to send a box and a label so you can return. Other firms do it all the time. A 2 year old could figure it out.

As much as their notification process s—s, they actually have a pretty good separation package and one of the requirements to receive it is returning company property. Having you to print a label and put it in a box isn't asking very much.
Or go get a jumbo box and load it with bricks wrapped with a bunch of plastic wrap! Or a box in a box in a box! Although I’d feel bad for the IT people....but this is the most jokster operation!

Thanks everyone...you’d think they would have their stuff together and send out a box and set up pickup. This is ridiculous.
I received an email with the shipping label from my manager. I had to print out the label. I called HR asking where the box was and she said to get a box or pouch (bag). I told her I am not spending a dime. She said any box would do. Good idea on the pizza box.
I see communication at BNY Mellon hasn't changed a bit since I left!
These jokers are suppose to send you a label.
Don’t spend 50 cents of your own $$, make them send a label and then shove it on a pizza box and send it back.

They had months to figure with out. Talk about incompetence.
