Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Cyber Security Defense All Hands 2021

Bank leaders... "Our people are the cornerstone of our organization..."

Also bank leaders... "Your compensation this year is way down, sorry..."

18 billion dollar profit apparently just isn't enough to compensation people for their hard word.

My bonus was down 75% this year from last despite a banner year, so this year my work will be down 75% from last year.

HR might tell them what to allocate but it’s def on your lob management to decide who gets what from that

I got the best raise and bonus I've gotten in years. You need to be an exceeds. At least this year you did. HR makes all the decisions. Only thing you and your manager can control is your rating.

The bank “banks” on you feeling like you don’t have options, and like you should feel grateful for having a demanding unrewarding job. I bought into that for 15 years. Left the bank in 2020 for a modest increase and much better benefits. Who leaves a company after that long during a pandemic?
The grass is greener, look, there are many companies that are hiring. And if you have an audit or compliance background the CFPP scaled back greatly under the Trump Administration. A former examiner that I know advised me that they are posting jobs, it may take up to a year to get on its worth a try and you do have options!

That’s honestly sad. Good bad or indifferent the Bank took care of us this year! I was really happy in April to not have to look for a job.
