Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

BOA WFH and Layoffs

We were told we would never WFH in our department. Even though our productivity is way up. Here in Jax, FL our building is so run down, break room can only hold a few people and not enough bathrooms on our floor. Our elevator is always having am issue. The smell of sewer from the more often than not plumbing issue. It is sad and the carpet is filthy. Cathy B. said it herself that we will never work from home. Wish they cared more about employees outside of Charlotte. Not.to.mention since they hire their friends not.much good leadership. I have tried to go elsewhere. Layoff at this point than to have to gontontht nasty building again is not looking too bad.

Which building are you in? I'm in building one. Still in desks installed in 1994 and carpet replaced in 1998. Run down. Some areas have been renovated but not all.

600 was horrible 10 years ago... can’t imagine it now. Was one of the lucky people that worked in Premier and got to move to Deer Lake.

In a David Reilly All Hands, sometime back now, it was made clear that the banks direction is to move to operating in co-located key areas/hubs. I believe it was over the course of something like 8 years if memory serves, that they will look to dissolve those areas not deemed as "key". My guess is they will not look to sink money where they won't stay long. I live in one of the areas that will eventually go away as well, so expecting at some point layoff will come 'a knockin'
