This is infuriating

After decades of service I was fired (by telephone) due to “lack of confidence” - no other explanation at all. I was a B4 manager and had over 150 staff in my organization. My mid year review was E/M. My severance was $0.00 and they wiped out all my unvested options. They let me go in September and gave me two weeks “earned”vacation pay. The entire process was insulting and demeaning.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, @ftmi+1avOCVxE. It's infuriating to see how the bank is treating its most loyal employees. And then they're shocked when none of us have any loyalty left and will leave the ship as soon as the first opportunity presents itself...

@1czm you really need to royally f-k up to get fired, especially as a manager. If we don't have the other side of the story (from a trusted source) I say the whole thing is bogus. Always pay attention to adjectives and adverbs that get your attention, i.e. infuriating, insulting, demeaning, shocked...etc. Click bait to waste your time.

There is a difference between being laid off and fired. When you're fired, you can't expect a severance package. Whether you were rightfully or wrongfully terminated is another matter...

There were no layoffs last September.
