Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

How much should we be afraid of automation?

Lately, my colleagues have often talked about automation, which will increasingly take our jobs and so on. As far as BOA is concerned, it seems to me that automation processes are going quite slow (or much slower compared to some other banks) and I think the fear of automation is a bit excessive. Who thinks otherwise?

Very little faith in our tech associates, which is a good thing in this case

@awa+1aXdHQVJ Credit Unions are the best, they are local and courteous. Keep that in mind.

Keep an eye on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Those are your replacements in the work place.

Long time BofA customer here. Your colleagues are right. I have always been treated well by both BofA employees and the bank but increasing BofA pushes automation and makes it much more difficult to talk to someone in customer service. The bank makes me jump through so many hoops just to talk to someone if I want to. I also have to go through a spiel for online banking before I can get to customer service. I won't do online banking because so many of my friends have been hacked. I realize many people do online banking successfully but I prefer to be able to talk to someone if I so choose.
