  • we are bombarded with corporate junk mail
  • we have to attend a litany of useless ‘town halls’ with no action required (other than working faster to compensate for

The lost time

  • we have to take ineffective Pluralsight training on technologies we don’t even use
  • we are dangerously understaffed
  • we spend valuable time on CYA activities
  • we spend five minutes documenting the last ten minutes in time cards (exaggerated, but you catch my drift
  • we are asked to run in five or more directions at once, which is known to be inefficient
  • we work in a fear-based system, which only adds to stress and increases errors
  • we jamb code into place based on a deadline, not because it was done right

Effective management lets staff concentrate on what they do best: their specific role. Effective management focuses on doing things right, not doing things fast.

We do not have effective management.

Not all management is bad. I jump in wherever I can with my staff so they don’t crumble but it makes it hard when we’re short staffed and nobody will listen that we need bodies in ten seats. We get c––p goals too which are clearly created for us to fail. Why should my performance be impacted because staff doesn’t take courses on time after being told 10xs.? We have more on our plates as well then get told we have to be admins also plus work all these extra hours for free.let’s not talk about the “optional” surverys. The ones also impacting our pmps anytime a disgruntled sh–––y worker doesn’t get their way. So it’s not just staff getting screwed over. These tards at the top are screwing us all over

BNY Mellon sucks the life right out of you! I do what i can and that's it. No more working harder to try to get things done. Im so sick of this place. 6 more months to retirement. I cant wait!

  • We're too busy putting out fires because of lack of planning and lack of manpower
  • We're too busy jumping for our managers so we don't end up on some list saying we didn't fill out this survey or attend some meeting that is not cost justified.
