Post is still there, although it doesn't show under the Trending list (even though it's views have now risen to close to 25K views). I was able to refresh it yesterday to read new posts but now it's taking me out to the main page.

Be all of this as it may, I for one am NOT looking forward to the lag in actually getting into the building. There might be limited elevators and lines to get in. I imagine many people lost their badges or they may simply not work so a stronger bottleneck is going to be made.

No, I just understand that in order to push back against an employer, employees must have actual material leverage. Emotional comments on an internal social site are not material leverage. They knew people would comment and decided that the impact momentary controversy is worth it for the company. Absolutely comment if it makes you feel better but know that a) management will keep track of who commented and at what level of negativity, and b) it’s going to take something more than that for this to change. Oh and c) you will be hard pressed to make the case that an employer is taking advantage when they are offering 2 days WFH for many people who didn’t have that before.

Sorry to rain on the parade but it’s naive to think that anyone on the EC actually cares about feedback on MySource. They knew how employees would feel about this when they did it. They don’t care. Competitors like Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan are coming out strongly against WFH as are significant clients like BlackRock. Could BK be more flexible by not demanding everyone be in the office on specific days of the week? Yes, of course. But when push comes to shove, they can also say “look how great we are for allowing 40% of work time at home”. Vent on MySource but have no doubt that names are being noted and know that they just really don’t care. Employees can abide by the rules or leave. There will always be some other warm body out there to fill an empty chair. I’m not defending it. I’m mad too and I’d love to rail on MySource. But why bother?

Ha, just completed the latest Peakon survey sent today... One of the questions was about "...BNYM offers my flexibility in my working arrangement" or very close to that.

Guess what grade I gave that question? (hint: it's a number between 0 and 0.)

Wonder if my team leader/team manager will reply with "I am available to discuss this with you..."

Anyone notice the company stopped reporting on confirmed covid infections? Last update to the document was in February! Definitely makes me uncomfortable returning when I won't even be notified of infection in my area or be able to see if there's an increase in infection with everyone returning at the same time.

History repeats itself. Anyone remember that thread from late 2018? Lots of pushback from nearly everyone who responded with only a few people in supporting the removal ofWFH (and they got destroyed in any arguments).
