RTO !

The Covid-19 curve in the US is rising again after months of decline, with the number of new cases per day doubling over the past three weeks, driven by the fast-spreading delta variant, lagging vaccination rates and Fourth of July gatherings. Confirmed infections climbed to an average of about 23,600 a day on Monday, up from 11,300 on June 23, according to Johns Hopkins University data.

@6xcd, it's not a matter of if the vaccine is worth the risk or not. It's a matter of some egotistical a-holes who think they can di-ktate what others do when it doesn't affect them at all. I decided the risks outweighed the reward so I got mine but I can certainly see why some people would question it. Especially young, healthy people or people who have already had covid.

So based on the last two responses, it seems that if one vaccine is produced by a company who has produced some suspect products in the past, that then justifies avoiding a vaccine made by two additional companies?

No wonder BNYM has problems considering this type of "talent" it has working for it.

Did Chainsaw Charlie return to moonlig at your bank? These post sound just like Wells Fargo where RTO was just announced.

Circular "science".
I don't want to work with unvaccinated people because they can infect vaccinated people which will get them sick and transmit to other people. Posted from the anti-law enforcement protest march while holding hands with rioters...

we have successfully been working from home for over a year! There is no reason to go back into the office and risk illness! I Don’t know what to believe about this variant or these numbers as I don’t trust the media. But BNY should push RTO back at least till next year!

Yeah, I get my science from Google, the wsj, cnbc, the nyt, etc. They're still hyping the new delta, novel, super variant virus to get some more clicks. More people died from aids yesterday than covid.

@2hgz You appear to be the one denying science, and you also appear to be a fool for claiming that "Vaccinated people have zero risk from covid and likely can't even transmit it. "

A simple google search of "can vaccinated people get the delta variant" displayed on the FIRST PAGE recents articles from The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and The New York Times that all state some vaccinated people have caught Covid after vaccinations. From the CNBC story of 7-12-21:

"People who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 are still getting infected with the delta variant, but global health officials said the shots have protected most people from getting severely sick or dying." ("most people" doesn't mean ALL people.)

"Some studies have shown that those infected with Covid after vaccination produce much less virus than those who are unvaccinated, reducing the risk of passing the virus to others." ("reducing the risk" doesn't mean TOTALLY preventing the risk.)

I happen to get my scientific facts from reputable sources who tell me the truth. Please, enlighten us with the sources you consult for your claims of "vaccinated people have zero risk from covid and likely can't even transmit it."

You can deny science all you want, @1dhg. Vaccinated people have zero risk from covid and likely can't even transmit it.

Unvaccinated people should not be allowed back in the office.

@1jzt, asking people about their covid experience isn't anything close to being a study.

Those at 65+ of age and greater are at significant risk. For the most part, the rest of us can fight off a bad cold, work with accommodations, or treat with ivermectin.

Still, if RTO is mandated based on this overblown pandemic, it makes no sense that we would push forward for this for the sake of bumping elbows in an elevator.
