Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Actual layoffs?

I heard through the grapevine yesterday that there was a small RIF in GTO. Anyone have an idea of head count? That would be nicer than waiting for our resignations.

Layoffs would be pretty foolish right now given how many folks will leave (with no severance) when returning to the office is made compulsory.

Nevertheless...management has been foolish before.

From where I sit most of technology is understaffed. Employees just cut corners or ignore you because there is too much on their plate.

more reorgs were announced today that affected my group in GTO. So there's stuff going on. I wont be surprised to hear about layoffs in Q4.

There won't be any more layoffs this year. The only ones so far have been contractors or the real lowest of the low performers. Management is pretty clueless as to how much excess headcount there really is. Managers don't wants to reduce the size of their teams (pure ego), and the top brass isn't serious about cost savings either.
