Yeah, 3x more infectious but will take 4 months to peak. That sounds like sound science...

Really, @8fgd+?
Can they fire you because you're a woman?
Can they make you hang out the window by one arm to change a lightbulb?
Can they make you remove the asbestos in the office?
Can they fire you for taking off Yom Kippur?
Can they fire you because you have diabetes?

all these people saying that they are high risk and not vaccinated are the exact people that SHOULD get vaccinated

you are all employed "At Will" meaning a company can do what ever they want

A member of my family who is fully vaccinated now has Covid. She has been very sick for a week and was perfectly healthy before this. So the Vax is not going to totally stop getting the virus. The drs say the Delta variant is 3 times more contagious and should peak in the US in mid Oct. This could be deadly to people with compromised immune systems and the older workers. If that happens I will get a Dr note and work from home.
I’m not playing with this…..

@tdm, I think you're overestimating our leadership if you think they did any kind of measuring of productivity.

I've been in the office as EIO since the beginning as my function can't be done remotely. Do I simply wait to get fired for having remained loyal throughout this entire mess for not getting the non FDA approved shot?

I personally am glad about the return to work. I have been in the office since day 1 and end up picking up the slack for the rest that are doing less because they are at home. I work with many groups within the company and the productivity is far less across the board than when in the office and my guess is they have ways to check it and saw it themselves. Otherwise its more profitable for them to close the buildings and have people permanently remote. And this place only cares about profits

I don’t see how a company can force its employees to take a shot that is NOT FDA approved and then want to see proof before returning to the office. This is not the country I fought for…. I fear for us all!!!

Contrary to what the media continues to say on a daily basis not all of us that choose to avoid taking the shot are radical right wing republicans that thinks Bill Gates is trying to microchip us. There are a multiple anomalies that should make everyone question just what the he-l is really going on despite your political affiliation. Mandating a personal medical decision on anyone is unethical. Period. This is not OK and I am beyond disappointed in this decision.

@wnq I thought of doing that, too...unfortunately I made use of the paid leave we were given in order to get both my shots so they know already that I am vaccinated :(

Everyone should be given the option of working from home or retuning to the office. To punish people who got the vaccine is terrible for the company! I got the vaccine but will tell them I didn’t, just to work from home!

They will try to enforce it to make the id--ts they were going to fire anyway quit

I’m vaccinated but part of my immediate family is not due to being high risk and health issues. Why should I put them at risk taking public transportation or being around people in general downtown who I have no idea what they do in their free time when I can just as effectively do my job from home, whilst keeping my family safe.

The work from home is temporary. They aren’t letting the unvaccinated work from home indefinitely.

The email states if you have not, you can work from home. What’s the issue?

The Remote Jobs section on LinkedIn never looked so needed.

So- They want to force the vaccine on you before they lay you off in the next round of cuts?

From what I can infer, they've been monitoring the outcomes of hospital employees terminated due to not taking the vaccine and likely are leaning on those decisions.

Ethically? No. And certainly not for something as minor as a coronavirus (one of the primary viruses contributing to the common cold), mutating to continually become less lethal. This is about social control.
