Band 5 to 4 salary negotiation

Have been B5 for close to 10 years, now making right at $100k/year. Interviewed for B4 and was a final candidate where recruiter asked my salary requirements. I said $130-$135k. Recruiter then said $115-$120 would be more in line with justification that existing B4s on the team make that much, and since I'm new to B4 it would not be fair.

I finally got him to submit for $125k, but after 3 weeks of no contact they finally said they went with another candidate. That basically put the nail in the coffin, and I'm searching for external roles. The struggle of getting paid fair market for my skills will never happen internally.

you are a su---r if you go for internal promotions. At the least take it for 6 months and use that promotion to leave and get paid.

Consumer Lending B4 here. In role 4 years. At bank 12. Salary $104. Bonus was $30, goes down every year. This year was $10. I’m leaving. I can go down a step and take home more pay with less stress. They totally sc--w anyone moving up from within.

wow 125k for a B4 role? which area is this??

B4 role in GBAM is at least 150+ in GTO

You are doing the right thing...bank does not want to pay. That's why half of the bank is outsourced
