Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Chief Growth Officer !

It is so easy to switch roles at the top. Your role as a chief strategy officer didn't work out homie so let's promote you as a Chief Growth officer and give you a much better salary hike.I am sure you will do much better in your new role at the cost of more mass layoffs. It is so easy to fool the employees and shareholders.

Like the dude they moved into the “chief lending officer” role. He destroyed the asset servicing biz he was running so they reward him with a promo. Way to go BNY

Is there anyone from Bain or BCG we can hire to be the Chief Bureaucracy Officer?

I've been working for Melon now for almost 9 years and in that time I need two hands to have enough fingers to count the times my department/team has undergone a name change or reassignment of our title or job description. Funny, I've been doing exactly the same work (although more of it) in that time period...

There are multiple terms and slang words used to describe ex------t, but when it comes right down to it, it still smells just as bad.

Failure at top has a reward and at the lower ranks they will make you feel desolate or unworthy.

It's always critical for departments to "tighten the belt" except when it comes to fabricated executive titles, wildly inflated executive compensation, and unnecessary overseas travel.

Loving the hypocrisy, my team weren't allowed to recruit for an open position because we had coped with out the headcount for 3 months ( someone left the team right before Covid WFH), yet the Executive Committee can just conjure up new job while we pick up 8 free hours of labor each day. Todd, you are a immoral.

It really just sounds like a title change - PR reports to him and we know he is a self promoter….
I think he is setting himself up for his next role where ever that may be
