The retirement plan reps don’t work for the bank.

Ask the phone reps in retirement call centers, anyone laid off needs to call them to get their 401k out.... they know if they're getting calls from bank employees or not.

If anyone's position should be eliminated, it's mine. Month after month of unnecessary, low value activity, requested by the higher-ups, but never used for anything of value. Seems that most managers are simply protecting their fiefdoms. Pretty ridiculous and sad. The definition of incompetent management.

Still pretty quiet. If there was anything significant, it'd be posted here. Like I said, one or two, here and there. CAO is pretty clueless/not serious about managing it's overstaffed organization. Many resources are engaged in analytics for the sake of simply satisfying curiosity, and presenting metrics and views that look nice and sound interesting, but have little relevance to sound decision-making, and, in fact, could lead to incorrect actions.

I was just laid off - consumer digital marketing. My position was eliminated due to cost cutting expenses.

Still nothing significant. One or two, here and there. Senior managers are not serious about expense savings. Resisting right-sizing to protect their own positions. Or they're clueless to the widespread excess headcount.

CAO Marketing list team got hit. Not sure how many. We know of at least one. Hopefully AA is next. Been a catastrophe since she took over…

How do you even know there were no layoffs? If we don’t work directly or indirectly with someone and they got laid off we have no way of knowing. There’s no big announcement. I hope there aren’t any more for now because it’s not ideal except for the few out there who wish they got laid off.

Well...It's next week, and no layoffs. I doubt there will be any.

Some areas of CAO are overstaffed and dysfunctional. Senior leaders relatively clueless. Armies of marketing and analysis folks doing very low value activities. But there will likely be very few layoffs, as the team leaders strive to maintain their org structures and appearance of significance. The only way to correct is to offer voluntary severance to select folks, otherwise they remain quiet for fear of retribution.

The bank is “always hiring”. But the experience is not out there to bring people in. And many companies are transitioning to WFH with more money. So the bank may do what they always do, move inexperienced people from one LOB to another that needs “ bodies” - experience is not needed because the bank thinks they can train anybody and mold them. Not true. So to keep costs down due to current environment there will be layoffs in consumer and workloads will be heavier.

I have not heard of any layoffs in consumer banking, they are hiring. It’s doubtful we will see layoffs with the current attrition rate

There’s never an email. It’s always whisper down the lane. I’ve heard of 5 people so far in consumer marketing

I'm on vacation this week so not plugged into what's going on. Was there an announcement or email? How about a little detail please?
