Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Possible legal action

I'm not an attorney but nothing seems right with your employer forcing you to take an emergency authorized dr-g against your will as a de facto condition of employment. I'd like to know what the reasonable accommodations for the unvaccinated will be and what potential legal challenges could come of this.

As mentioned below, you can bet the firm has already cleared this with attorneys.

When I checked this thread, @zid+1c2mohP9 had a +7 stating that he finally agrees with a policy from this company. Dude, stop using multiple devices to inflate your rating. This policy is trash and the majority of the people posting agree. There is no way your rating was legit.

Doesn't it makes one wonder, what's in that vaccine in particular that they are so adamant we take it. I mean, seriously... why is this one so important to them.
Bill Gates have been quiet open and blunt about it.People don't seem to pay attention when he says it. There has been talks already in the International court of law how this experimental vaccine shouldn't be mandated.

“Put this experimental substance in your body or you lose your job” is not CHOICE, it’s forced coercion.

Courts already upheld that universities can require the vax, it may be pushed higher but so far the legal precedent has been set for being able to require it...

Congrats on the most ridiculous post of the month. At last, a policy from this company I agree with.

It's not just BNY that is going to require vaccines. It is happening all over the place now. So you could jump ship and go somewhere else just to find that they will also require you to be vaccinated. BNY didn't say it was mandatory to be vaccinated, just that to be in the offices right now you will need to be vaccinated. Who knows what will happen down the road but for now that is there requirement. so you can continue working at home if you don't want to take the vaccine.

Do you really think you're the first person that ever thought of this? I know our management is incompetent but do you truly think they didn't run it by legal?
Of course, the correct, competent decision would be to keep people working from home and see what other companies do. What's the big rush???

As soon as someone has a bad adverse reaction the lawsuits will begin. Sadly it will take someone being critically hurt or even God Forbid, dying for action to be taken. The companies may be legally allowed to push this experimental vaccine on people but they are not protected from the consequences should someone suffer an adverse reaction.

No one will touch these lawsuits. It’s employers choice and you are considered ‘at will’ employment. It will be mandated for all or lose your job.

It's going to get full FDA approval by the fall and the employer vaccine mandate was already upheld in the courts. Good luck with your case...

Sounds like a good class action lawsuit to me!

Relax, Karen, and get vaccinated.

I think I’d prefer the 3 days in per week if I didn’t have to get a vaccine.
