Yes... seems like they are trying to mask the attrition problems. I think it is in vain because I know many more people who intend to leave very soon, and I don't know very many people who are willing to come here.

They mostly blocked external hiring and let it all to go internal so talent doesn't stream out. It's not a bad move. However this is check vs savings. Most of the folks who left outside haven't been replaced and it's creating burnout...it's not the WFH thing that causing it. It's the bandwidth that we are expected to carry out.
Regarding attrition...it's probably in the double digits. This is true for GBAM.
