Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Does BOA intend to replace people who leave?

For months there has been no replacement for my colleagues who have left.
For months other people have been doing a double workload because of it.
I wonder how many more months will pass before they are replaced and will this happen before more people leave due to the huge amounts of work they have to do? Maybe that's the goal... it wouldn't surprise me.

Like the slipshod work which lead to the Miami condo collapse surprise, so to will there be an eventual operational risk impact from the loss of expertise and capability. Instead covered in illusion by overworked resources cutting corners.

Sadly, I have seen people that were severed and the bank turns around and hires someone to replace them within one month. I do not know how they get away withthis and sleep at night!

They replaced some developers with people from India that have no clue what the business is about or how to even write quality code. The Learning curve is pretty steep for them...this frustrates the already overwhelmed onshore people and talent continues to walk out the door. Everything from the bottom up Is held together by patch work and odd designs with many middleware and loops. Getting out of this tangled mess will be death by a thousand cuts...
Thankfully I am leaving for a real technology company at the end of the month after 8 years with the bank.

Loss of domain knowledge won't be immediately felt but it will ripple throughout operations as the mass exodus ensues.

In the Global tech space they replace onshore resources that quit very quickly with offshore resources in India who ironically work from home!
