Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Hybrid Model

Has anyone heard of leadership introducing a hybrid Model? A friend of mine was in a team meeting with their Project Manager and they said they expected a Hybrid Model for certain groups. Their group dealt with wholesale underwriting.

I can't wait to see these d-mbazz executives RTO 5 day work week blow up in their face. This is going to be a huge mistake to send employees back in the middle of a pandemic. You will see so many employees that will come down with covid. This is going to be a disaster. I work in a financial center and almost every employee in our and other centers came down with covid. DO NOT RTO UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES! THEY ARE TRYING TO GET YOU TO RESIGN OR DIE! YOU CAN'T EVEN SUE THEM IF YOU CATCH COVID! THEY HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE!

@fvk+1cbG4xYd No it won’t ki-l the Bank if many US based employees resign over the RTO plan because they will quickly offshore those jobs to India, where ironically many WFH.

If this is true it would save alotttttt of employees that are ready to walk. BOA is literally one of the ONLY companies sticking to a 5 days a week in person plan. This will ki-l them if they don’t change.

BofA can still support the local economy via a hybrid work model. I think the initial communications about full in office 5 days/week are what concerns most.

You just can’t RTO in a responsible manner with 100% capacity in the current environment. Over 60% of white collar workers prefer a hybrid work model.

Why can’t BofA implement this as other large corps are doing? There is an ulterior motive at play.

The CEO and eTeam are making the RTO plans -- literally, themselves, in a room (a very nice room with some really nice snacks and drinks, food -- anything that is desired is delivered, with HR execs and legal weighing in on the options the eTeam presents.

There is no input from anyone else -- literally two down from BM has no input. Its irrelevant what business they run, what they think, what the employees want. Its really funny by the way -- the people that make the decisions are SO FAR insulated from those they affect. Literally all the people discussing this have a private office on a private floor during business as usual times, along with a security detail during events, a driver, and a corporate jet to use when travelling.

I grow tired of this type of leadership -- but its how every corporation in the country is. Quite sad.

Our CEO desires his entire staff to work in an office, and I suspect that is what it'll be. The motivation, by the way, is contribution to local economies where BAC is invested -- primarily CLT, a bit of NY. Or at least that's what I think. I'm not sure what else could the the driver; our eTeam are quite smart. They know what sunk cost is.

No my group had been told no WFH would be allowed, everyone in the office 5 days/week.

If they would just implement a hybrid arrangement then most of us would be content and everyone would get a little of what they want.
