SSS consolidation and moving to ADMIN in FL. Any word what will be next with this change?

I asked my STLbin SP about this. Her response was.... "you do your well and everyone liked you, you have nothing to worry about, you will be just fine". Didn't deny or agree with the rumor just said all will be fine... hmmm
Any Florida people out there? We need details
Why post vague rumors without any detail?
Any news or updates?
I never once seen an astl do anything related to price integrity or weights and measures. That made me laugh way too hard
i thought that was the ASTLs job lol.... what exactly do ASTLs do anyway? i bet they wont be around for much longer or they will go hourly soon
Someone's got to try to keep the stores from county violations and lawsuits
well our sss says he can't figure out why his job still exists..............
I haven't heard about this in my region, but I did hear a few months ago that the SSS position was being looked at by a group to determine what the position is actually responsible for. Each store seems to utilize the position differently and it varies by region.
Some stores are twice the size of another with only one SSS each. Some SSSs do cashup or cashier. Others only do SSS duties which is auditing tasks and marketing tasks. Then there is the SSI which is a whole other problem because they are half SSS and half STSS which does technical stuff.
The regional data team was recently laid off which used to oversee the SSS position. In our region the Store Support regional team was totally hands off and the SSS attended Data team calls and marketing calls. The SSI also attends tech team calls. Both SSS and SSI do need to be looked at and the positions need to be defined clearly, so I'm not surprised.
I totally agree it's an admin position. My STL and ASTL are the ones I do stuff for everyday.. I don't even know my TL schedule but I know Store Leadership schedule..
SSIs/SSSs were admin, then changed to Store Support for some asinine reason. It makes no sense that they are store support. It is an administrative position which audits all product teams for accountability.
Store Scanning Specialist.. the one the I do less and less is auditing... Time to go change the light bulbs in the kitchen....
Is there anyone that actually has valid information regarding the SSS positions?
Speculation is unhelpful and is how rumors get started. Let’s stick to facts, if you have any to share.
What does SSS stand for?
I actually want to see just how far Amazon/WFM is willing to go with layoffs. Afterall, we are so understaffed that our dozens of Prime shoppers have difficulty finding anyone in a department to scan a qr code. Freight just sits in the back since there are no TMs to work it. Someone at Amazon/WFM never got the hint that all those sales from Prime shoppers meant that we would need actual WFM TMs to refill the shelves. Who would've thunk?
once the tech services/software reaches the level of an employee, the company will begin to eye job cuts or reorganization with lower pay scales...all of the tech we have now has enabled stores to get rid of accountants and have receivers handle the paperwork/money trail.software and workday will downsize the TMS and SSS now...its only a matter of time to when the OTS clipboard, planograms, automated ordering, kronos, deem TLs(many who willingly embraced ots and these changes) as overpayed according to our competitors in grocery business..restructure and rename their position to "head clipboard hanger" and give them 20$ per hour....ASTls are often dead weight brown nosers who sit in the office reading emails, watching cameras, and deep diving on data without looking for the proper answers which often reside with a regional mistake...they will probably keep this position but make it hourly like they did to TLs back in the early 2000s..
What does this even mean? No more sss? Regional? I am confused by this post.
i always knew this would happen. 3 supervisors per department ? STL with 2 ASTL's? TL with 2 ATLS? And the stores are still barely functioning right???? For sure Amazon was going to fire some people (or let them go) . It just doesn't make sense, especially since most of those guys arent good at what they do (nothing)
Not true AT ALL.
Astl’s are next including fastl’s and cd astl’s . You all reached high pay but as a a business tool you are pointless bye teams run on their own with or without you don’t lift a single box or stock anything you were only the escape goats for poor performing stl’s and budget alignment. I called out the sss before it happened and know astl’s.
