30 Day Notice?

I got an email telling me to choose a date I’d “like” to return to the office. I chose a date, but I have not received anything further saying I have to be in the office by so and so date. Was that the official notice or is there supposed to be another notification confirming I need to be in the office on a specific date?

@1tul+1coiLD93 Are you sure they are planning to bring back non vaxxed in Sept? Let's not spread untrue rumors.

I recv'd a "health and safety update" email from HR today with no stated time table on RTO for those not in the portal.

you dont need 30 days. Just give in your 2 weeks notice.
Two can play this.

Yep, totally true at least for our entire office. I hear it daily in video conferences, that everyone in our office is coming back and that they don’t need a 30 day notice, and that they don’t care if you haven’t uploaded your card. I think maybe for other departments they are sticking to the 30 day notice and still requiring cards to be uploaded but not us :( It’s going to be awful when people inevitably get covid after avoiding it for 18 months. Clearly all the major publications have been pushing the “covid is here forever, just live with it” and “delaying return to office with hurt small businesses” which I don’t deny, but why rush us all back in when daily cases are close to 200,000 a day.

@drs+1coiLD93 he got that first email last month...he was given 3 dates to choose from. The latest being 9/9. He chose the 8/18 date. He just didn't get the detailed 2nd email till last Friday.

I’ve been told by the manager that 30 day notices are no longer required. I read another post saying that they’re still mentioning the 30 day notice on flagscape, but I’m personally hearing different. For example, I never received a 30 day notice but I am expected back in the office come September with or without vaccinations. Basically I think it depends on your LOB.

They need to get the layoff packages ready. It helps to have that info ahead of time.
