Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Does anyone have any updates on RTO with covid numbers rising?

Anyone in the know about when they’ll expect people to go back? Vaccinated and unvaccinated/unknown?

I think two things

1) they are hoping the cases plummet overnight like it did in the UK right in time for Labor Day. But of course they’re not taking into account how the uk has a much higher percentage of vaccinated people, and also a better attitude in general regarding vaccinations/masks. Also they have a system that alerts a person if they’ve been exposed and asks them to quarantine, which helps to mitigate any spikes in infections. The US has neither of those things.

2) they honestly don’t care. It’s a numbers game, and while they obviously know that vaccinated people can get sick and can transmit the virus, the hospitalization/death rates are still lower than last year so that’s how they’re rationalizing it. They also are in the business of making money, and think of all the dinners these heads of businesses have had with other heads of businesses saying how everyone needs to get back to work so that their buildings can collect rent, and people can spend money on things they’re currently not spending money on. It really is the ruling class dictating the rules for us minions when it doesn’t make any sense for us to return to the office otherwise.

It's like a low budget movie where they have a room full of executives having a contest who can come up with the most ways to demoralize people to the point they quit, but with a rule that it can't make sense to anyone outside that room.

The virus is spiking to the point it's a lead story on every news channel for infections and hospitalizations but our room full of contestants is calling full speed ahead on RTO.

whaaaat...they just said today "we continue to focus on the health and safety of our employees and communities" . Then go on about RTO like it makes sense.

Color me surprised. It's an episode of scooby doo.

With the new talk about "boosters" what value does the data in the vaccine tool has?
It's been nearly 8 months since the first shots when in Arms.

I take it they will then make vaccines mandatory or leave unless there is a medical or religious exemption.

Just one mistake after another that this place is making. BM's, CB, and TM's last year?
It's certainly looking like that. We need to "realign" our management for "Operational Excellence". They are not good "resources" anymore to serve the staff and shareholders.

@vxf+1cpcQ2KU indeed it is very disappointing, they know vaccines protection is diminishing so booster shots will be needed, still they want to put worker's health at risk.

Yes with the recent delta variant which hasn’t even begun to peak yet — not sure why they refuse to change rto date.

Some have already gone back. Only vaccinated are going back now. They are requiring vaccinated to return to the office by September 9th. Unvaccinated is TBD

Very disappointed they are not delaying this with numbers so high. They are putting peoples lives at risk.
