Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

BAC Leadership Shakeup is a GOOD THING, but more need to go

After years of focus on cost cuts and layoffs and outsourcing to India...Bessant has proven to be unlikeable across the board.

She's probably right next to Montag on the unlikability scale. There are so many more qualified fresh thinkers in BofA (or external) that can take her place.

I really hope she's on her way to "retirement" as well. It would be a morale booster for GT&O staff and would ultimately lead to better outcome for BAC as a whole.

Her strategy to put in Chabria (who runs an in house outsourcing org) has not done anyone any favors. It has created less diversity in Tech than anywhere else in any Bank. Walk into the Plano TX office and it will be shocking to see a separate company operating within BAC who only hires from India. Nepotism is rampant there.

Enough with the layoffs and poor talent approach. We need to turn this ship around.
In a way i feel like BM has as much say as Biden.

This NYT article offered a scathing review of TM's tenure at the Bank... He pulled no punches in trying to intimidate and punish workers who wanted to WFH during the pandemic... My hope is the new leadership will take a fresh approach to handling and communicating RTO in a way that values workers and their total well-being...

The article below is from 2015 and it still applies today. No one likes her; she never has been liked; she never will be liked. From he-l's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I sp-t my last breath at thee.

The career-defining moment when BofA's Cathy Bessant learned her co-workers didn't like her

“What my (new) boss said is, ‘Cath, I saw you at the Chamber of Commerce event last night, and people in the community love working with you. They love you. They use words like 'great listener,' 'really engages people for consensus,'" she recalled. "'The people at Bank of America don’t use those words about you — and, generally speaking, don’t love you.’”

CB has driven GT&O to the ground. There are so many more qualified women or men to take her place. C'mon she has to go.
She's been very ineffective as a leader. Uninspiring and polarizing.

From your post to God's ears. Finucane is an insufferable hag but she's nothing compared to Cathy. CB might be the most uninspiring, out of touch, slow witted "leader" I've ever seen. Pushing her out would improve morale. You could replace her with a dime store mannequin

I have been away from BAC for several years. Is CB gone?
