Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

prediction todd won't be ceo this time next year

he's a good steady hand for covid but to survive the sl------r you need a nimble ceo that can flow flow between finance and tech the way you put your pants on in the morning seamlessly. i like todd but he's gotta play some offense too. defense is just not enough these days.

todd is just a puppet who has to dance to the music of BoD and major shareholders. that is where he gets his money from...any allusion that he or anyone CEO thinks that s$17 flows up hill and workers have any value is not living in the real world...

@6jqm, you have no idea what motivates people. Todd could have retired YEARS ago and never worked again. Not to say we should be paying him a million dollars a month.

Do you really think he cares? If they boot him he will leave a multi-millionaire and never have to work again a day in his life. He'll look in the rearview laughing.

@4lmy,
I think you mean our stock went from $46 to $35 to $53 under Todd. Not exactly what I would call "slow and steady".
@5vdm,
I can't think of anything more disruptive than firing 10% of your workers during peak covid, forcing vaccines on the remaining employees and forcing them back to the office for no reason.

Todd has a deep knowledge of our businesses and business model. We need someone that can connect the legacy businesses and model to the future. The clients respect Todd and he is just starting to rebuild the firm after CS left us and we still have some of his descendants that will hopefully be gone soon.

The answer here is not disruption. Look at how well that worked for our last CEO. For those of you that loved him and his style, Wells seems to be hiring. CS was just a minor blip on the radar screen here. Good Luck.

stock is up from 35 to 50...shareholders love...good steady hands...granted a lot of that came from Charlie cutting the 20 year dead wood that was just coasting...time for another Charlie for another sweep...

Charlie??? That guy is no where near the leader some people think he is. That's why he's still riding the coattails of Jamie Dimon. He has zero accomplishments and plenty of failures.

Todd just a placeholder like Gerald until ‘they’ find another ‘Charlie’. No runs no hits no errors. The mentality of the Bank when our founder said I’m going over to New Jersey to meet with Aaron Burr. Don’t do anything until I get back 😎😎😎😎
