Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

I gave myself a deadline

After having to face crazy deadlines several times, this time I decided to give myself a deadline. I have less than three months to find a new job because I do not intend to work at BNY Mellon in 2022. If I can leave even earlier, that will be the best. I am almost certain that there are currently more people in the company trying to leave before the new year begins than those who plan to stay here longer?

Any luck finding a new role? I wish you the best of luck. Jobs are out there.

It’s definitely getting out of hand. My boss left 8/23 and they still have no replacement. As his reporting mgrs they are literally putting all the tasks and responsibilities he had on us. things we have no clue about and things way above our job grades and it’s making work life here unbearable and nobody seems to give a cr-p

I was in your shoes a few months ago. The day-to-day work got so bad I just voluntarily quit even before finding a new job. Being able to travel for 3 weeks straight before working again was also nice.

Currently in a slightly higher paying but much more comfortable job now.

Good luck! I was forced to leave due to a lay off, but it has honestly been a great career move for me. I have a much better position now. Better pay and a less toxic culture.
