BAC joining world leaders to address climate change but wants workers to go back to office full-time. Is it for a show only? I understand concern for businesses like restaurants, gas stations etc. affected by pandemic. The bank could have adopted a hybrid model to strike a balance.

Anyone see the link of flagscape about BAC caring about this?
Normal responses were "BAC we love u" and got 4 ot 5 liked. 2 people actually responded with why don't we work from home or hybrid then? These 2 people got like 50 plus likes...
Ever get the feeling that most of life's background storyline is a series of manufactured crises?

In the 70's during the first oil crisis they said we would be out of oil by the turn of the century. Maybe they meant 22nd century.
BofA has no choice but to implement a hybrid model if they are intent on bringing everyone back. I’m sure it varies by job and location, but those of us who are in an open shared workspace office cannot reasonably work in a full capacity office safely. It is just not worth the risk to the employees or the company.
It was extremely misguided for BM et al to talk about full time 5 days/week RTO earlier in the summer especially since it worked against their goal of vaccine portal compliance as well. This bank simply cannot afford to continue pushing out of touch policies that aren’t reflective of today’s priorities… work/life balance.
Im still waiting in the doom of that imminent Ice Age they told me about in 3rd grade.
I Love this post!
I know I have spent a lot more money since my RTO. Supporting small business all day long because I suck at packing coffee and lunch. Maybe they’re onto something. If you don’t want to lose your cr---y cafe food convenience, you better get back to the office!
BOA is full of shlit. This company act like they care about employees and the environment but they don't. They have asswholes for leadership . We are the only fuhking bank with a RTO mandate. I hope these senior executive mofos get covid and die . This will teach them lesson on treating your employees like shlit.
@kfg+1dL1BYid posting to stop complaining and get back to work...on a bank holiday. What a corporate shill cuck.
BofA leadership are huge hypocrites on almost every issue and any altruistic act is done solely for enriching shareholders and PR purposes rather than to benefit employees.
I'm guessing either satire or trolling, or a combination of both on the previous comments.
They don’t care.
If no RTO, thousands of small businesses will go out of business. They have commercial real estate and thousands of small businesses that depend on people RTO.
Stop whining and get back to work.
The bank doesn’t seem to mind sending out “savings as simple as 1-2-3” junk mail on the regular. Straight into the garbage and into our local landfills. Thanks for that great commitment to the environment. Not.
Exactly. Their stance of putting over 100,000 commuters back on the road for the only given reason of "we are an in-office company" flies directly in the face of their claim that they stand for environmental conservation. If they care about emissions and greenhouse gasses, they would embrace WFH or hybrid, instead of offering a discount on electric vehicles every couple of years and beating their chests about how they are saving the world. Even figuring that 25% use public transportation, they are generating 75k-100k emission hours PER DAY for the sole reason of being able to collaborate at the water cooler. Hypocrites. Period.
