Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

My whole team is checked out..GBAM tech

No one cares anymore. We lost 2 people to Microsoft this week. Team was 10 people before covid and now we are 4. They haven't filled any positions...no one wants to take the horrible compensation and poor technology.

Our big project has no program manager and developers are leading calls with no trajectory or skill. The language barrier between onshore and offshore has led to a complete failure of the project. We don't even talk to the offshore team. They just get paid to show up without delivering anything and there is a whole army of them.

I no longer feel engaged or challenged. I pray that I land something soon. This place has become such a dumpster fire unlike any place I have worked at before. I've worked at capital one, UBS, JP and Goldman and BofA takes the lead of one of the worst places to be in right now. After 2.5 years I will take a paycut to get out of this doo doo ho-e.

Keep chocking your staff to death BofA. Your offshore teams and cheap talent is going to run you to the ground.

The damage has been done, even if they implemented a hybrid model it will take them months to back track to what was working before.

I heard in an all hands there is a hybrid model under review. No guarantees but they aren’t saying NO… yet. Trying to be optimistic. We’ll see.

Morale and flight risk are only going to continuously get worse unless BofA changes course on RTO... I suspect a big jump in resignations by March unless BofA allows a hybrid work arrangement.

OP here...I left GS because it was in their ops department of WM. Bonuses aren't what they once where in ops at least. Still they are 15-20% or more while in GBAM tech it's a mess...E/E nets you flat which is barely 10%.

How could you ever leave GS ? They are the best place to be if you work in financial services. Their bonuses are legendary.
