They're letting talented people walk away without doing anything to stop them because they want to get rid of them. They are paid too much, they believe. Then comes the time when they need to replace them, and it turns out they have to hire at least two people to do the job of that one person. Any savings they thought they would make are gone. Then they keep doing it over and over again. Go figure.

If you have a highly paid and experienced brain surgeon and they leave only to replace them with two people who never even worked at a hospital before, that is exactly what is going on right now.
They do not care. They are perfectly happy with "just good enough to function," and they can hire that level of chair occupant very cheaply.
So let that be a lesson that no matter who you are you don't matter to the bank. And at anytime they can tell you to kick rocks.
