$100K is not a lot of money unless you’re still living in mommy’s basement, working from home and don’t have any bills or groceries to pay for.
As a CA I make over $100k but that due to my FA comp
My secretary makes more than $100k a year. It’s not that uncommon for people to have a few hours of OT each week and earn over $100k.
$100k is also not that much money if you have a mortgage, kids, daycare, car/student debt, etc.
at 100 hrs./ 100 K salary = to a little over $19/hr. You can make more working at Target.
Remember the Enron traders? No wonder they were such d-ckh--ds.
100k is peanuts these day.
My wife has over 100k in shoes in her closet.
I totally agree with you on how making 100k plus a year as a trader and you lose a lot of years off your life. I did a job similar to that working 12 to 14 hour days and making over 100 plus a year. I made money and traveled but it almost ki---d me. I missed the money but not the life.
I remember this guy, a trader way back in the aughts , having a gallon of Mylanta on his desk. That was a pretty powerful statement about the requirements of that job.
@ibf+
100 hour work weeks? but 100% agree
The offset is you lose 2 years of life for each 1 year worked from stress etc.. 100 hour work days, my god good luck when you drop dead at 62 and your wife takes all your money and gets some Latin lover.
This is in their trading desk. These jobs effing SUCK. I wouldn't do them for 100k.
