Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

They want to keep us guessing

Are they planning to keep us guessing each week if we'll be going back to the office instead of pushing the return date down by a month or two at least, like the majority of other banks and businesses? Do they really think things will improve within seven days? It's shameful how little they care about employees.

Banks are generally too large to manage. Like dystopian Kafkaesque corporations - faceless, impersonal, monolithic, zombie institutions. Regulators would be wise to consider the break-up of larger banks into 4-5 regional banks.

Wait, whats the confusion? You work at Bank of America run by a bunch of clowns. I'm in JAX where right now clown emojis are big thing due to the management of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Then probably went to the same clown school.

So you can’t enter the office this week without proving a negative covid test, but next week it’s a free for all?? That part I don’t get

How did some of you survive and cope with commute, kids, doggy daycare issues before covid? Plan on coming into office and if they say WFH, then, viola, you get your way for a week, or two. What is the big fuss? How do some of you actually solve real work problems when you can even manage your personal lives???

Sounds like you’re the d-mba$$ for having an hour commute. It takes me ten minutes to get to work. It’s not BOA’s responsibility to make sure your dog is walked and your kids get fed at such and such a time. Seriously, does your mommy still come over and do your laundry? So many entitled complainers on here, it’s ridiculous.

Lol “what difference does it make?” You serious? Takes me an hour or more a day to do the round trip commute, I’ve also got to figure out what to do with my kids, dog, and plan out what I’m going to be doing for dinners. It may sound stupid if you’re a single person or someone with a spouse who takes care of all those things but for those of us who need to actually make decisions based on where we’ll physically be for 8 hours a day it’s a big deal.

Guessing about what? What difference does it make what location (home or office) you need to work from? Some of you will complain about everything. They gave you an extra week WFH. What do you expect ?

And none of the executives are listening when we complete our associate satisfaction surveys and add WFH and more flexibility in ways to improve and to attract and retain top talent? It's never an item that they have to review and/or give attention to.

After speaking with multiple people, it Sounded like most of the executives prefer to work from home as the results are on par or better when compared with pre-pandemic results. Surprisingly, executives blame senior management for pushing RTO. Are the executives in Band 1 taking these decisions?

Looks like no reprieve in JAX. When I logged in this morning saw the "we are so looking for you back in the office" next week. Here's what you need to bring your first day.

I have lost any and all respect I’ve ever had for the leadership and this company. I have never been more convinced that they don’t give a flying fu ck about employees. Getting out of here as soon as I f’ing can.
